We offer two remote consultation options depending on whether you are looking for general guidance or a detailed review of your blood work.
Please choose carefully: the 20-minute Wellness Consultation does not include a blood work review. Customers who want their laboratory results reviewed should select the 45-minute Blood Work Consultation. Blood work is purchases separately from the consults.
Which Consultation Is Right for You?
20-Minute Wellness Consultation
This shorter, lower-cost consultation is primarily designed for new customers who want general wellness guidance and help deciding what steps may be appropriate for them.
During the consultation, a wellness practitioner can discuss your health history, symptoms, primary concerns, and wellness goals and provide general educational guidance.
This consultation may be appropriate if you:
- Are new to our services and are not sure where to begin
- Want to discuss a primary health or wellness concern
- Have general questions about nutrition, lifestyle, or supplements
- Want guidance on possible next steps
- Do not need your blood work reviewed
45-Minute Blood Work Consultation
This consultation is designed for customers who want a detailed review of their laboratory results.
During the 45-minute consultation, a wellness practitioner will review your health history, blood work, symptoms, primary concerns, and wellness goals. The practitioner will help explain your results and provide personalized educational recommendations based on the information reviewed.
Recommendations may include general guidance regarding:
- Nutrition and dietary changes
- Lifestyle habits
- Supplement options
- Possible areas for further discussion or testing
- Practical next steps toward your wellness goals
This consultation may be appropriate if you:
- Want help understanding your laboratory results
- Have abnormal or concerning lab values
- Want your blood work considered alongside your symptoms and health history
- Want more detailed and personalized wellness guidance
- Need more time than the introductory consultation provides
Using Blood Work from Another Provider
If you already have recent blood work from another laboratory or service, it may be reviewed during the 45-minute Blood Work Consultation.
Blood work that was not purchased through DrEkberg.Shop requires an additional outside-lab review fee. Select the appropriate outside-lab option from the dropdown menu on the consultation product page when placing your order.
You may also provide other relevant health records or reports for the practitioner to consider. However, we cannot guarantee in advance that every outside report, scan, or medical document can be fully reviewed during the available consultation time.
Need Blood Work?
If you do not have recent laboratory results, you can order our Comprehensive Wellness Blood Work through DrEkberg.Shop.
This comprehensive lab panel includes the markers recommended by Dr. Sten Ekberg and is completed at a participating Labcorp location in the United States.
After ordering:
- Your laboratory requisition is generally available within approximately three business days.
- You will receive access to our patient portal.
- Your requisition will appear in the Documents section of the portal.
- You can schedule an appointment or walk into a participating Labcorp location for the blood draw.
- Your laboratory results and Functional Wellness Report will be delivered electronically.
This is not a mail-in blood collection kit. There is no kit to receive and no sample to mail back.
What to Expect in a Consult
- Choose either the 20-minute Wellness Consultation or the 45-minute Blood Work Consultation.
- Complete the required intake forms before your appointment.
- Provide any requested records or laboratory results.
- Meet remotely with a wellness practitioner by phone or video.
- Receive educational guidance based on the consultation you selected.
If you purchase the 45-minute Blood Work Consultation, please submit your completed intake forms and laboratory results at least five days before your appointment whenever possible. This gives the practitioner adequate time to prepare.
Important Eligibility Information
Consultations are available only to customers who are physically located within the United States at the time of their appointment. This requirement applies even when the consultation is conducted remotely.
Our consultations provide general wellness education and guidance. They are not intended to replace care from your physician, diagnose a medical condition, establish a physician-patient relationship, or provide emergency medical treatment.
